Online Conference

It seems that despite everything 2020 ended with quite a decent investment volume for the CEE region. And not just that, there hasn’t been a spectacular market crash or any major sell-offs – spectres that hung over our previous conference in February 2020.
Nevertheless, the coronavirus did have the effect of either delaying or making many transactions impossible – and also turned our views upside-down in other ways: assets that were previously considered premium fell down the rankings, while those that were once regarded as lack-lustre are now the shining stars of the market.
Has the pandemic changed our views of particular segments of the market forever? Where is all the investment now coming from and which sectors is it going to? And what can investors expect over the coming months?

Opening presentation (Presentation)

What direction is the global economy heading in and will the investment market take the same course? Which events of the past few months have had the strongest impact on capital markets –  Brexit, the US election, or maybe the development of the Covid-19 vaccine? Which asset classes are competing with real estate –  and is the latter still considered a safe haven for capital?

High occupancy has, on paper, kept the owners of offices and co-working operators afloat. However, with people working from home now becoming commonplace, such assets are now being viewed somewhat differently. Is a total return to normality possible, with tenants back in the office and offices restored to the top rank of investment classes?

Despite apartments-for-rent and student accommodation standing empty, more and more PRS operators have been flocking to Poland. Is their optimism well-founded?

Warehouses and logistics centres were undoubtedly the investment hit of 2020. But what will the end of the lockdown bring? With e-commerce still surging forward at full speed, is there’s a risk that it will suddenly grind to a halt? Are the days over of malls teeming with shoppers? And is there a danger that tenants will be looking to reduce their space to meet their barest operational needs?

'I Want To Break Free' (Discussion)

What awaits the investment market this year and beyond? Will sectors that have lost some of their appeal – such as shopping centres and hotels – get the chance to return to the top of the investment rankings?

The PRS market in Poland is still in its infancy, but a few pioneers have already laid solid foundations for its further development. In front of our very eyes, Poland is being turned into one of the PRS’s promised lands on the map of Europe. REdefinition, REduction and REnegotiation in the office sector

Despite the switch to remote working, office buildings have not become a thing of the past, although their function has been REdefined – offices are now places for meetings and creative teamwork. The REduction of occupied space and the REnegotiation of lease agreements have also become commonplace. In a week’s time, at Eurobuild’s 7th INVESTED ...
